Being our primary business, we have ground nearly every type of plastic imaginable into regrind. The most common types would be TPO, Polycarb, ABS, Polypropylene, Polyethylene, Acrylic, Nylon, and/or a cross variation of two or more of these. Some of which contain fiberglass fillers.
Most of these products come to us in the form of rejected automotive parts. However, we also recycle a great deal of, what are commonly known in the industry as, purgings (which are simply mounds of plastic that are extruded into a pile while the material is working up to the right temperature, color, and/or consistency to produce the desired parts).
Some of these parts and/or purgings, being too big to fit into the grinder, we have to cut into smaller pieces with one of our three heavy duty, commercial type, band saws.
We have four, in house, grinding machines that help us manage to keep up with what business we can generate locally. In some cases we've been known to receive a load, cut it into manageable pieces, grind them into regrind which is packed and stacked in Gaylord boxes, and ship it back out the next day.

Our regrind facility is what got us the honor of being nominated for, and selected, Charlevoix County's Recycler of the Year. We're proud to be doing our part, and thank all who have assisted us, in keeping Michigan, our treasured little part of America, beautiful.
